Pure Command Economic Systems Essay - 624 Words

In a pure command economic system, an individual person has little or possibly no influence over how the basic economic questions are answered. Nowadays, the only areas that still have a pure command economy are North Korea, Vietnam, and parts of China. Should these countries keep a pure command economic system? Or should the pure command economic system be taken away from these countries? The pure command economic must be taken away for three following reasons: It has no competition, no development, and no valued goods and services. First, the pure command economy doesnt have competition because the command economy is one in which decisions about production; distribution and consumption are made mostly by the government. People†¦show more content†¦For example, the companies are only permitted to produce goods which the government requested and by the technologies the government offered. No initiative of the workers can change the process of produce of the government, although these initiatives can be the better than the technologies that the government used. Moreover, the government also decides the establishment and the distribution of services in the country. For instance, they guide people into a certain job; none has the right to choose suitable job. Finally, the pure command economic system made the goods and services which are not valued because the government controls production and makes all the decisions about the use of goods and services; the government gives methods and industries to produce goods, and no one is permitted to change the industries. The government just needs to produce a lot of finished product, but they dont need to know about the quality of those products. For this reason, the workers dont concern the values of the products that they did. In addition, the workers dont have responsibility in their job in the administerial ways of the government because if they work good and hard, they only get the same benefits as the others that dont do good job. Some countries want to keep pure command economic system because they want to make all the peoples average life equal in the country and promote the socialist ideology.
